Register on the website: Login → Register
- Fill out the registration form with your email and password.
- Double-Opt-In Confirmation: After submitting, you’ll receive an email with a confirmation link. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) and click the link to complete your registration.
Register your company by:
- Entering your Company UID and the corresponding details (address, email, etc.).
- Alternatively, you can set up a test company to try out the app without your own Company UID.
Define different work areas under Company settings → Work type settings, such as:
- Service Technician, Electrical Installer, Project Manager, or Apprentice.
This ensures that jobs are reported and billed according to the type of service performed.
Import your distributor conditions (e.g., EM, OF, Sonepar).
Supported formats: Version V1.3 or V2.0, also available as ZIP.
This allows materials to be automatically calculated on the job.
Set up your invoice settings to:
- Define calculation parameters.
- Generate invoices directly after completing a job.
- Enable payments on-site with the customer.
Enhance your user experience by:
- Connecting extro with tel.search.ch.
- Generating an API key and entering it in your General Company Settings.
Customize extro by:
- Uploading your company logo or, even better, your company letterhead (A4) as PDF to style your documents professionally.
Invite your team by:
- Adding them under Settings → User account settings.

- Manually add new customers (individuals or organizations) to your address book.
- Alternatively, you can import address lists under Settings → Data management → Data import → Import contact organizations
Before you can start a job, you need to set up an Object. Follow these steps:
Assign an Object Name:
Give the object a unique and descriptive name, such as «Municipal Building Schöftland.»Add the Address:
Enter the exact object address so it can be automatically assigned later.Add a Contact Person:
Assign at least one contact person to the object- Add a Billing Address:
Enter the billing address if it differs from the contact person’s address.
Note:
A carefully created object is essential as it serves as the foundation for assigning jobs and generating invoices.
Link every job to a project by following these steps:
Assign a Project Name:
Choose a clear and descriptive name that defines the project, such as «Office Renovation – Floor 3.»Assign an Object:
Link the project to a previously created objectDesignate a Project Manager:
Select the employee or team member responsible for overseeing the project.Add Work Types:

There are three ways to register with extro:
- Administrator: Register on the website. As an administrator, you set up the company, have access to licence management and can invite other users.
- Employee: Ask the administrator to invite you to extro.
- Interested party: Register on the website and select the «Test company» option.
Yes, multiple employees can register under a company.
The company administrator can add additional employees in the web application by going to user management and inviting the employees. They will receive an invitation email with the corresponding link.
Answer: The user who registers the company UID first is automatically designated as the company administrator. The administrator has the authority to appoint or replace additional administrators.
Yes, a user can register multiple companies.
The UID number is an individual identification number for companies maintained by the Federal Statistical Office.
Under Settings – Company, you can insert the code provided to you under search.ch API Key. The code can be ordered from https://tel.search.ch/api/getkey.
Purchase price x markup factor. The markup factor can be set by the company administrator in the invoice settings.
Under Settings -> Import Price List: Import a ZIP, DAT, or TXT file. Currently, it is the File v1.3 of the electrical wholesalers. The import is carried out by the company administrator.
Under Settings -> Import Custom Catalog, you can import your own catalog.
Yes, if set in the invoice settings, a QR payment slip is generated and attached to the invoice document.
extro requires an IBAN or QR-IBAN. You can find this on the account statement from your financial institution (bank/Postfinance) or in online banking. With a QR-IBAN, a QR reference number range must also be defined. If this is not available or desired, simply enter (000000).
After the 30-day trial version expires, access to extro is terminated. Two weeks before the trial version expires, you will receive a notification and the opportunity to convert your account into a paid account after the trial version expires, with a contribution of CHF 19 per user, allowing your company to use the full functionality of extro. The company‘s UID number must be provided during registration.
No, the payment feature cannot be used in the trial version.
Yes, these can be enabled or disabled under Settings -> Templates.

Yes, it is possible to deactivate your User account. This can be done under Settings -> User account settings. To perform the deactivation, simply click on the link labeled Remove user.
After your profile has been removed, all your data will be marked as deactivated in the database. If you wish to permanently delete your data, you can request it through our contact form, and we will initiate the deletion process.
